Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Content Strategy

Why should I invest in SEO?

When your clients search for you, can they find you?
Can they find you if they don’t know the name of your business?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can help make sure you are listed when clients search for WHAT you do.
Unlike paid search engine marketing (SEM) which stops working as soon as you stop spending, SEO investments continue paying off by helping you rank for organic search results on Google and others based on the quality and trustworthiness of your content.
Why Use a Content Strategy?
Having a content strategy ensures that you can be found when people have a problem and are looking to pay for a solution. A content strategy involves identifying high and medium priority keywords that you want associated with your business. We then create content with you that answers questions and shows expertise on those topics over time.
Planning the week in advance dramatically increases the likelihood of meeting the goals of content creation.
Too busy to write the content yourself? We can interview your team and create content that aligns with your brand and speaks to your clients’ goals.

SEO Tools
There are many good tools that help with developing an SEO & Content Strategy. Services such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz and others help identify how popular keywords are in your market, which keywords your competitors are outperforming you in and which keywords could be good targets to help your content rise in search results. Using paid tools and consistently improving site content over time has allowed us to substantially improve both the number of terms clients rank for and how highly they rank for them.
Google Search Console is a free tool that shows you which keywords you are performing well for currently and shows trends over time. We use Looker Studio to build dashboards from Google Search Console and Google Analytics data that power weekly and monthly reports on how the site is performing.
Paid Search Engine Marketing
Paid Search Engine Marketing involves setting a budget, choosing important terms and paying per click (PPC) for traffic that comes through paid ads to your site. Google’s Performance Max (PMax) is an AI enhanced PPC service that is producing strong results for some of our clients. It’s also possible to run paid ads on social media such as Meta’s Facebook/Instagram services and TikTok.
Local SEO
Is your business listed properly on Google and other directories? Does your business have office hours for walk in customers? It’s important that the content on other websites is correct as many people who search for your business just trust the phone number and hours that Google shows without clicking through to your website. We can help you manage your Google Business profile to make sure your customers get what they expect.
Video Content Strategy
Many businesses are doing great video content on YouTube. Having a plan to consistently deliver new video content can be a challenge. Planning a release strategy along with seizing topical opportunities can help you build an audience.
Videos on YouTube should include a link back to your primary website, ideally a landing or feature page related to the video content. It can also boost engagement to embed relevant videos throughout your site.
It’s worth testing if you get better results with manually refined closed captions on your content as many YouTube users are browsing with the sound off when looking for certain types of content.
